2003 Awards

The annual Christmas party was held December 18, 2003 at San Carlos City Hall. As in past years, awards were given to SCARES members who contributed in special ways to the group. Not all recipients are pictured here.

"Dusty Doster Award" recipient

Besides being the bayside DEC, you have served as president of SCARES, single-handedly run Net-after-Net, reserved the room for the SCARES membership meetings and been Comm Boss for San Carlos Hometown Days. In addition, you have participated in many events and taken on action items for the betterment of SCARES, like reserving the space for the annual picnic, making equipment purchases, and providing training tapes.
Because you have given freely of your time and energy to further the goals and ideals of the community and the Amateur Radio
Emergency Service, it is with grateful appreciation that this award is presented to you in memory of Landry G. "Dusty" Doster, K6MPN (SK).

Peter was also awarded a certificate of appreciation for "serving as Comm Boss for San Carlos Hometown Days and moderating Net-after-Net".
